COVID-19 has changed the way we travel, but it hasn't dampened our lust for exploring. Here are some tips on how to deal with travel's new challenges:

• Before locking in your flight, find out if any travel restrictions or bans apply — in both your origin and destination. Get up-to-date information by reviewing government travel advisories.
• You're required to wear a face mask throughout your travel experience, including at security checkpoints. Be prepared to adjust your mask for ID verification when asked by a TSA officer.
• Do not hand your boarding pass directly to a TSA officer. Instead, position the pass on the scanner and then hold it up to allow the agent to visually inspect it.
• You are now allowed to take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your carry-on bag. This will need to be taken out for screening.
• Put any personal items (phone, wallet and keys for example) in your carry-on instead of a bin to minimize handling during screening.
• Separate any food you have for X-ray screening. Putting it in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA employee to handle and inspect your belongings.

Take to the skies now and you'll probably see some changes. For instance, most reputable carriers have introduced social distancing and improved hygiene standards. A couple of good examples are:

• Air Corsica - this airline is known for conducting passenger temperature checks and providing passenger masks.
